★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Először 1935.szeptember 27-én állították fel a mai Géza fejedelem téren. Avatása 1938.május 19-én volt a Szent István halálának 900.évfordulója alkalmából megrendezett ünnep alkalmából.
A második világháborúban a szobor feje levált,a fejet a Városházán őrizték,a testet pedig elásták a Püspöki Palota kertjében.
A szobor talapzata az eredeti helyén maradt,erre került 1972-ben Géza fejedelem szobra.
A restaurálását Székely János szobrászművész végezte,mai helyére 1991.november 5-én került.
It was first erected on September 27, 1935 in today's Prince Géza Square. His inauguration was on May 19, 1938, on the occasion of the celebration of the 900th anniversary of St. Stephen's death.
In World War II, the head of the statue was detached, the head was kept at City Hall, and the body was buried in the garden of the Episcopal Palace.
The pedestal of the statue remained in its original place, this is where the statue of Prince Géza was placed in 1972.
It was restored by the sculptor János Székely, and was replaced on November 5, 1991.
