★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1938-ban a Szent István halálának 900. évfordulójára készült, avatására a város lakossága virágokkal, zászlókkal, az ablakokból lógó drapériákkal készült. Az ünneplőbe öltözött városiak és a környék népviseletbe öltözött lakosai közösen vonultak az avatásra betöltve a Kossuth teret és a környező utcákat.
A díszkutat Lamping József kaposvári építész tervezte, a vízmedence Faludi Imre kőfaragómester munkája, a király reliefje Bory Jenő szobrászművész alkotása.
 It was made in 1938 for the 900th anniversary of the death of St. Stephen, and for its inauguration the inhabitants of the town made flowers, flags and draperies hanging from the windows. The townspeople dressed for the celebration and the residents of the area dressed in folk costumes marched together to fill the inauguration, filling Kossuth Square and the surrounding streets.
The ornamental well was designed by the architect József Lamping from Kaposvár, the water pool is the work of master carver Imre Faludi, the relief of the king is the work of the sculptor Jenő Bory.
