★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Szent Rozália- kápolna a Lechner téren helyezkedik el.Kellemes a környezet,tiszta padok várják az ide sétálókat.Számomra kimondottan egy pihenőhely.Minden kápolnát megtekintek,ez is tetszik egyszerűsége miatt.Kissé eldugott helyen van,de a városiak, diákok szívesen sétálnak ide,és egy igazi kikapcsolódási lehetőséget nyújt.
St. Rosalia Chapel is located on Lechner Square. The environment is pleasant, clean benches are waiting for those who walk here. and provides a real opportunity for relaxation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A hangulatos tér, ahol a neobarokk templom áll, Lechner Lajos nevét viseli, akinek tervei szerint az 1879-es árvíz által elpusztított Szeged újjáépült.
A Szent Rozália kápolna Szeged történetének több alkalommal átépített és áthelyezett tanúja. Az első kápolna az 1738-ban behurcolt pestis után, fogadalmi templomként épült meg, a mai Hősök kapuja helyén, a Dömötör-templom előtt. Az 1879-es Nagyárvíz után a megsérült épület helyett új, díszesebb kápolna épült a Dömötör-templomhoz kissé közelebb (a mai Dóm tér árkádjai helyén).
1924-ben a Dóm körüli nagyszabású építkezés miatt a kápolnát a Lechner térre költöztették és az újraépítés során kissé bővítették. 1929. november 17-én szentelte fel Glattfelder Gyula csanádi püspök, 1939-ben plébániatemplommá nyilvánították.
The cozy square with the neo-Baroque church is named after Lajos Lechner, who plans to rebuild Szeged, which was destroyed by the 1879 flood.
The Chapel of St. Rozalia has witnessed and rebuilt the history of Szeged several times. The first chapel was built after the plague in 1738, as a Votive church, in the place of today's Heroes' Gate, in front of the Dömötör Church. After the Great Flood of 1879, a new, more ornate chapel was built instead of the damaged building, slightly closer to the Dömötör Church (in the place of today's Dóm Square arcades).
In 1924, due to large-scale construction around the Dome, the chapel was relocated to Lechner Square and slightly expanded during reconstruction. It was consecrated on November 17, 1929 by Bishop Gyula Glattfelder Csanád, and in 1939 it was declared a parish church.
