Sokára készült el, de végül 1706-ban felavatták a Szentháromság-szobor egy puritánabb változatát. 1709-ben kiegészült a mellékszobrokkal. Ezt követően a Várba 1713-ban egy nagyobb, ma is a Mátyás templomnál látható, barokk oszlop került, ezt az eredeti változatot pedig 1712-ben itt, a Zsigmond téren helyezték el.
