A Szilas-patak két forrásból ered Kerepesen Szilasliget nevű helyről végig halad Kistarcsán, Nagytarcsàn, ahol éles kanyart téve Cinkota felé megy. Az M0 alatt àthaladva beömlik a mesterségesen kialakított Naplás-tóba. Innen egy hatalmas mesterséges lefolyó irànyítja Màtyàsföld, Ràkospalota és Kàposztásmegyer felé. A Megyeri-erdő alatt beömlik a Mogyoródi-patak. Nem messze a Megyeri hídtól beömlik a Dunàba.

The Szilas stream originates from two sources in Kerepes and passes through a place called Szilasliget in Kistarcsa, Nagytarcsa, where it makes a sharp turn towards Cinkota. Passing under M0, it flows into the artificially formed Lake Naplás. From here it is directed by a huge artificial drain towards Mátyásföld, Ràkospalota and Káposztásmegyer. The Mogyoródi stream flows under the Megyeri forest. It flows into the Danube not far from the Megyeri bridge.
