"Idegen tenger zúg hamvak felett
Magyar ki erre jársz köszöntsd hőseidet
A világ tengerein életüket
vesztett bajtársai emlékére állította a
Magyar Tengerészek Egyesülete"
Ugyanez angolul is szerepel a már kissé megkopott táblán, néhol a feliratot csak silabizálni lehet. A tábla és a fémkoszorú mellett egy nagy fekvő horgony (Az Ungvár tengerjáró horgonyának másolata) is az emlékmű része.
Itt az alkalom, hogy megemlékezzek gyerek- és ifjúkori barátomról V.L. Zoltánról, aki a Zadari tengerészkadét Iskola növendéke volt, és már kereskedelmi hajózóként a világ tengerein vesztette életét egy balesetben. Nyugodjon békében!
Az emlékművet 1993-ban állították fel.

The same is in English on the already slightly worn board, sometimes the inscription can only be stabilized. In addition to the signboard and the metal wreath, a large lying anchor (a replica of the Uzhhorod cruise anchor) is also part of the monument.

The monument was erected in 1993.
