Trong chuyến đi dự Lễ kỷ niệm 50 năm ngày khánh thành Đài Vật lý địa cầu Tihany của Hung Ga Ry tại thủ đô Bu Đa Pét vào tháng 6/2006, tôi đã được may mắn đi tham quan Đài này do Hungary tổ chức. Đài nằm bên cạnh hồ Balaton, cách thủ đô Budapest 100 cây số về hướng tây nam, một hồ nước ngọt ở vùng Transdanubia của Hungary. Đài Vật lý địa cầu Tihany được thành lập năm 1954 để theo dõi các biến thiên địa từ, quan sát và nghiên cứu các hiện tượng cổ từ, địa nhiệt, địa chấn .... Dữ liệu địa từ, được thu thập từ năm 1954 cung cấp một cơ sở dữ liệu tuyệt vời để nghiên cứu khoa học về Trái Đất. Đài cũng góp phần vào sự phát triển của một số thiết bị từ tính và hệ thống ghi dữ liệu. Đài Vật lý địa cầu Tihany là một trong những thành viên sáng lập của INTERMAGNET, mạng lưới các đài quan sát địa từ trên toàn thế giới. Khuôn viên của Đài cực đẹp, rộng rãi, thoáng đãng, nhiều cây cối, cỏ hoa. Gần bờ hồ Balaton nên không khí rất trong lành, mát mẻ. During a trip to the 50th Anniversary of Hung Ga Ry's Tihany Geophysical Observatory in the capital Bu Da Pet in June 2006. I was fortunate for me to visit this observatory organized by Hungary. It is located next to Lake Balaton, 100 kilometers southwest of Budapest, a freshwater lake in Hungary's Transdanubia region. Tihany Geophysical Observatory was established in 1954 to monitor geo-magnetic variations, to observe and study ancient phenomena, geothermal, seismic phenomena .... Geomagnetic data, collected from year 1954 provides an excellent database for scientific research on the Earth. It also contributes to the development of a number of magnetic devices and data recording systems. Earth Physics Tihany is one of the founding members of INTERMAGNET, a network of geomagnetic observatories around the world. Observatory campus is very beautiful, spacious, airy, full of trees, flowers and grass. Near the shore of Lake Balaton, the air is very fresh and cool.
