★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Az emlékfal jobb alsó sarkában fekete, kúp alakú bazalt faragvány emelkedik ki a síkból, Olyan felületet alkot, ami hasítékok, redők szabálytalan ritmusát adja. Itt sima, csiszolt felületű gömbcikk domborodik, ami pl. egy becsapódó ágyúgolyó képzetét is keltheti. Ennek fényes felülete és a fal egésze éles kontrasztot mutat egymással.
A szarkofágot szimbolizáló építmény az emlékfaltól balra, található. Ezen 270 kör alakú fém elem látható, mindegyiket egy-egy hősi halott nevével.
