Great hungarian style diner, with many daily selections such as soups, purées, schnitzel, stews etc. Reasonably priced, especially for this area. There is seating outside, not so much indoor. Will be interesting to see how they cope with winter. There is sink to wash hands but no bathroom. If you are looking for a no thrills lunch to fill you up i definitely recommend the place though.

Good place to try different Hungarian dishes for reasonable prices. It's not incredibly delicious but it's a step up from prepared food at a grocery store for example. Basically, it's a pretty solid deal overall

Not many local fast food eateries where you could stay and connect with the historical vibes of the district are left since the global #covid19 mismanagement started...and A FŐzelék is one of the few open in the afternoon.Where are the Student Mensas with simple meat shops and stands where one could try local specialties?...what is going on with the Budapest student life...Thank you very much for delicious reception and your care??

You can find this “Főzelékfaló” in many of the shopping malls, but if you are into a nice interior than I would recommend you this branch, as it looks a lot less commercial. They have a tap for washing your hands and also free water to drink. The tiles both on the floor and the wall look very quirky. As for food, they have a big selection of the famous Hungarian vegetable stew (főzelék) which you can combine with fried meat/cheese/veggies/meat stews. There are also rice, potatoes and you can basically put your meal together for yourself, choosing whatever you fancy (meat with rice/ potato/bread or go with the traditional stew) They make the stews out of various veggies, so plenty of options to chose from. They taste quite authentic, pretty close to a homemade one. The price is quite friendly as well as the staff.

The prices were alright, the food was tasty - we've ordered a lentil soup and some fried cauliflower. The portion were huge and definitely satisfactory. It's the sort of place that operates like a cafeteria - a employee would walk you through the various dishes on the menu and pour into a plate whatever you ask them to, so do contemplate what to order just before heading up to the cashier.

They were super helpful. There were a ton of options for the fozeléke. The price was excellent and the quality and taste of the fozeléke was superb. I’d definitely go back for a tasty lunch.

Simple good food, lunch of pork schnitzel with potatoes and a softdrink. Friendly staff, although they don't speak English and no English menu card. Worth the visit.
