We arrived in Budapest on may, and it is the first time in this city. The apartments is very good for the location (from it we can go wolking everywere in Budapest) and for the comfort of it. We arrived by car, and there is a Park not expensive very near. The most tipical restourant and bar are very near, as well as the Thermal pool. The apartment is wanderful, very confortble and there is everything we needed for our Holiday. our experience is very good and I think that if it is possible we will come back again.

Where do I start? Everything has been perfect, way beyond expectations. Hosts, John responsed to all of my questions and suggested a number of places to visit, Alajos came to pick me up from the airport, despite my delay. John had a bottle of wine and snacks in the house which is a great gesture, especially when you arrive hungry and tired from your trip. John kept in touch for the duration of the trip to see if we need anything else. Location is ideal, near Vaci Utca, district V, walking distance to everything from the parliament to bars and restaurants. Apartments, Sarah and Belle are two separate autonomous fully equiped apartments, they have their own entrance and are equally comfortable. The bedrooms are on two seperate mezzanines (one at each apartment) and there is a door connecting the two apartments together. I was quite pleasantly surprised there was a computer, printer, hd tv and lots of travel and other books and dvds around. The decoration and design is very nice, well thought after, with appropriate plants and a combination of antiques and nice ikea furniture. The bathroom even had one use razors, toothbrush and other everyday necessities. Overall I highly recommend the apartment for your stay.

We feel very fortunate to have found apartment Liesel/Pierre for our stay in Budapest.I knew when I first stumbled upon John's Budapest apartments website that the accommodation choice would be perfect. The descriptions, pictures & information provided are excellent & John responds to any query you may have. This included advice as to which apt would best suit our needs. Liesel is actually studio apt Pierre with the addition of a separate bedroom....better for 2 people staying 5 days as we were & very good value. It was a great home to come back to after daily exploration of a wonderful city & provides such much more than staying in a hotel. Everything you would expect is provided & more....a spa bag, umbrellas & so much useful information. We tried out a number of John's dining suggestions & would have to say that the Gerloczky Cafe was probably our favourite. The location of the apartment is fantastic; a couple of blocks from the Danube, very close to all sorts of transport, but also walkable to many of the sights. If you like to walk, Budapest is a great sized city. Next door to the apartment building is a music bookshop where you can purchase tickets to concerts etc that may be on. Even with no Hungarian speaking skills they could help us. Grab a copy of the 'what's on in Budapest' from the Tourist office near Deak Ferenc Ter station. We would love to go back to Budapest another time & would stay nowhere else than in one of John's apartments!

I stayed at Leisel for a month in January. From the moment I signed on, I had incredible support and guidance from John and his wonderful staff. The apartment in the pictures was exactly the same in reality. It was warm, comfortable, clean, and secure. The location is wonderful and being in the center of Budapest made all the difference in the world in seeing and observing the city life. John not only assisted me with every need--I once needed a goof desk chair which he personally brought from his office in Budapest--he even took me out for coffee and charmed me with his knowledge and enthusiasm for the city, John is more than a businessman. He loves Budapest and he wants his guests to go away with the same love for this amazing city. In fact, he made me a convert and I would recommend his apartments to anyone coming to the city. They are ideal and also fair-priced. My highest recommendation.

Location - Location - Location !Once again, John & Jeanne have shown their commitment to their clients. Four friends rented Sarah & Belle for 2 weeks and our experience with both the apartment and the city of Budapest was outstanding. We had stayed in Max in 2010 and this time wanted a bit more privacy, so we booked Sarah & Belle. There was more than enough room for everyone. Although the sleeping loft in Sarah was a bit cramped, the challenge soon turned to fun as you leapt from staircase to bed. All the amenities were at hand. The location is outstanding - just around the corner from Vaci Utca and it's pedestrian streets. Budapest is a beautiful city, entrenched in history. The spirit of the people only emphasizes it's march toward rebuilding and refurbishing gorgeous buildings. It's a walking city and the location of John & Jeannes' apartments is perfect for exploring. Nothing is too far away. We've now stayed in 3 of these apartments and looking forward to experiencing a 4th. We have chosen apartment rentals over hotels for years now and must admit, John's apartments are, by far, the best we have ever stayed in. Their concern for our well-being and comfort supercedes anything we've experienced. There are so many nice "touches" that come with this rental...pastries and wine on arrival...stocked fridge so you don't have to shop right away....ease of transportation to and from the airport. It all adds up to a most welcome arrival in Budapest. Thanks John & Jeanne. We will be back soon.

My wife and I stayed in Sarah for a short break and what a delight it was. The contacts with John Farago before our visit were superb, as he sent us comprehensive details of location, accommodation, events etc etc. The apartment is beautifully appointed with just about every creature comfort you could imagine - everything to make the stay marvellous has been planned and we were knocked out by the quality, comfort and facilities. Value for money is assured. There were many examples of generosity, from food in the fridge to information about the accommodation, from a bottle of wine to internet access, from booking taxis to use of a mobile phone and so it went on. Budapest is a beautiful city and there are lots to see and do. The temperature hit 39 degrees so we were glad of the air conditioning throughout the apartment. The central location is ideal, particularly for a short break such as the one we did. I cannot imagine how any improvements could be made. It was all just perfect. We will recommend the apartment to family and friends unhesitatingly and commend it to anyone seeking a fantastic stay in Budapest.

My family spent a week in these shared apartments. The accomodations made our trip a success. Budapest is a great city. We had the best possible location to see the city from. Our host John was in contact before our trip with lots of recommendations on everything a traveler could want. He was correct on every recommendation. PRICELESS. From the beginning of our stay with the amazing welcoming basket of food and beverages till the end of our stay, John would call from America to make sure we had everything we needed. I highly recommend any property John has listed.

My wife and I stayed in the LieselPierre Apartment for 2 weeks in August 2016. Over the last 20 years, we have stayed in many apartments in Europe and the LieselPierre compares favorably with the best apartments we have rented. We give this apartment our highest recommendation. First, our initial contact with the owner was first rate . . . his response time to our questions was in minutes, rather than days. He has a wealth of knowledge to share about Budapest and was a great resource for the first time to Hungary traveler. In other words, booking was basically a seamless and uneventful affair. Second, the driver who picked us up at the airport (arranged by the owner) was waiting on us when we arrived and transported us to the apartment without any issues. At the apartment, the manager greeted us with a bottle of Hungarian wine and snacks-what a relief after an international flight. Third, the Apartment itself was (from an American point of view) a typical sized European apartment for 2, but 3 or 4 could squeeze in with the sofa sleeper. The apartment was well equipped - we used the clothes washer, nespresso machine, and air conditioner almost daily. The ac worked great and was necessary after walking all day around Budapest in August. Fourth, the location was perfect. Virtually, everything in Budapest is accessible by foot. Food, tourist spots, bridges, buildings, markets, shopping, etc. are all within walking distance from the apartment. Fifth, the cost was reasonable. Finally, if you are from the U.S., don't expect a U.S. style apartment, but if you understand European-sized apartments, the LieselPierre Apartment will exceeded your expectations; it exceeded ours.
