If you are in the area and have any interest about ancient Rome and their way of life, this settlement is the place to go. Very nice staff and self-tour. Give yourself some time to dive in and read the plaques about everything there. I spent about 6 hours and loved every minute. Bus is best way to get there.

It's free on Sunday ? A bit out of the city, I had to change there buses to get here It's definitely worth visiting for anyone interested in history and archaeology As the other branches of the history museum the curation is both incoherent and insufficient, but a lot has to be said about this museum that they have close to everything translated to English There are very many information slides, honestly you could easily spend the whole day here, depending on interest. I stayed for there hours and I just snapped most of the stuff and moved on

Beautiful place and quite large. We only set aside 2.5 hours to ago around it and we weren't able to get to the museum. Will go again so that we can see the rest.

The museum/archaeological park is very interesting and you get lots of information both of the ruins outside (thanks to panels in front of former buildings) and of the objects and history of the colony inside, all also available in English. However, especially outside some areas and panels would need a bit more care and looking after. The temporary exhibition was particularly well curated and presented. Overall, I really enjoyed my visit and would recommend. You may easily spend hours/half a day in Aquincum.

Excellent, not too large, not very touristy still sometimes pretty busy museum that's an integral part of the ancient Roman village. Very good, well organized selection of artifacts and everyday tools used several thousands of years ago. Info displays are very good, give you great impression on how life was in the ancient times. Yes .... without wifi and cell phones.

The place is definitely worth visiting if you're into Roman history. The temple of Mithras and the museum exhibitions were most noteable, in my humble opinion. The only downside worth sharing is that beside the tickets lady no one else spoke English, so I had to rely solely on written descriptions.

The Roman ruins, the excavation of which was the largest archaeological operation in Hungary. The whole ruins is very grand and huge, and I only had a rough view after visiting for two hours. Even if you are not interested in archaeology, you can visit here on a sunny day, just go around and it is worthy.

I spent a lovely few hours here exploring this 1st Century Roman Site. It extends across a large area but the information contained boards around the site (Hungarian & English) are very helpful in detailing the ruins and recreating an image of what the buildings would have looked like in Roman times. The main indoor museum has impressive collection of household objects, pottery etc. Don't miss the two other buildings, Painter's House and Mithraeum. The Painter's House is a Seven Room recreation, fully furnished, of what a Roman House might look like in the 3rd Century.
