Worth the 4.7 rating! Tried the mushroom risotto, pork schnitzel, chicken breast and duck breast. Not a single bad dish! Service was good too. Try the elderflower lemonade for a refreshing drink!

Don't try the espresso, but food is really very good. Chicken was nice and tender and fries very tasty

Quick and friendly service, we had the liver pate and the wiener - both have been perfectly fresh, made to the point (liver in good balance of beeing caramellized and smooth at the same time fitting with the plums, the wiener is small but good hight with selected better quality breadcums), with perfect sauce on the salad, where you feel the positive french cuisine influence of the owners (the chef is french himself). The homemade potatoes as a side dish have been a bit greasy but anyway fresh and tasty. In all: considering the circumstances, the idea of the place reflected in the name (Bistro St.André), so that is to connect the "bistro alla francaise" with the "local food" is well executed and reflected also on the menu. Fresh home made bread completed the meal. The atmosphere outside could be a bit better (less grey in the chairs, more stable tables and/or more wood or "french countyside style"), but thats more subjective and for beeing in Szentendre, its a balance to accept. We will come again, thank you.

Awesome. Very cheap. Food was great, very tasteful and good quality. Homemade bread is awesome and really added to the lunch. I took the chicken breast with carrot and orange purée which I really recommand. The view on the Danube is beautiful. Waitress was very helpful and kind.

Great French bistro in Szentendre. We took a duck breast and a creamy risotto with mushroom. Duck breast was very tender and the risotto was very well cook, nice aromatic smell. They have a several of lemonades, all should try, with fruits and soda. They gave us to try the wine (which one I prefer) before choosing. Very thoughtful. Must try when you pass by.

I love this place, chef Romain is always providing fine food. The service is very good, and the daily menu on weekdays has a very reasonable price. I had the chance to join a wine dinner that was just super! I attach some pix of the daily menu :)

Excellent quality food. Homemade bread, brownies. Best goulash soup. It seems a family business.

This placed surprised me and my girlfriend. Summary: Price: reasonable, meals about 3,400 + side Taste 10/10 Service: Good Vibe: Nice We sat down because we saw a free table, a little disappointed that we couldn't find a place in the sun further down the street. This place probably had the best food we've eaten in our whole month in Hungary. The duck breast was amazing, full of flavour, not over cooked 10/10 + very large side portion. My girlfriend had the fish, she thought it looked a bit dry when it arrived. But as soon as she tried it she changed her mind and said it some of the best fish she had (and she's from portugal) so soft, juice and flavourful, with a crisp outside skin. 10/10. The sides with both meals were great but I would have prefer if they came included with the meals. My girlfriend also ordered a lemonade but wasn't real a fan.
