Excellent food and service. Short but informative tour of wine cellar. If you are lucky you can meet Jozsef Bock the owner of the winery.

Terrible restaurant - they are racist and unfriendly to everyone that does not look like them. We went there today (after having some excellent experiences at Sauska Winery) and got treated very badly. We wanted to have a meal/dinner at 3.30 pm and were told that they only had seating in an open area (in the rain) when the entire restaurant was open. We asked why and they said that they had reservations for the rest of the restaurant. I hope the owners read this post and train their employees to treat every customer with respect. The Bock winery lost a good paying customer. I hope others also read this post and avoid Bock. If you disrespect one customer because of their color or nationality, then you disrespect all. A terrible experience.

The tour was very informative and inspiring. We enjoyed our waiter Peter very much, he was very enthusiastic and had a lot of knowledge on the wines were tasting. The food was excellent. I wouldn't go for a larger steak if you're hungry, mine only tickled my appetite.

Nice wine and great food!

Bock is simply an experience. We stayed here for two nights and we reserved the tour and a dinner table. The tour was basic but it was pretty impressive to see the big capacity of bock's winery and how big they grew. The wine selection is perfect. The menu was also perfect to go with the wine. The game stew was well done and went well with the cuvee w choose. The desserts were also satisfying. If you're a hotel guest at this location then you'll be happy with the quality price balance the rooms has to offer. Breakfast is basic but fresh and well done. I recommend staying here if you're in the villany area

Summary: Solid food and great wines unfortunately let down by abysmal service. We started with the guided tour in the wine cellars. It was an ok experience, nothing to write home about. Our tour guide got a bit snotty with me because I was wearing a mask, almost as if he was offended. He told me the that the air is filtered with space technology and whatnot. HOWEVER, I don't think the space technology filtering helps very much when a fat lady coughs in my face. Maybe he was just trying to be funny, but failed by an awkward mile. After that we had dinner in the restaurant: Pasta with tomato, prawn salad and wild boar (from the specials). Food was good, though we had to send the prawns back because they were cold the first time around. I don't know if it's because understaffing or a terrible layout of the place, but be prepared for a LONG wait for everything. The staff mostly seemed a bit annoyed with the guests. We also had the wine tasting menu, and the wines were great. However, we had to explain to three different waiters that we had booked a table and that we wanted the wine tasting menu before it finally sank in. It was a hot day (about 35 degrees), but we were not offered water to begin with. For the price (about 13500HUF ) I would also expect it to come with some sort of nibbles on the side. I've been here twice now and probably won't go back (similar experience both times). Would rather recommend Sauska.

The service is friendly and the food is fantastic! During our 3 days stay we have been here 3 times. Everything we tried was amazing, including the wines. It worth to go for the cellar visit it is quite interesting, especially the 'echo room'. We had a the pleasure to meet Peter, who is the best! He knew how to serve what to offer and made also a beautiful tour. Please give him a promotion and a pay rise! We definitely gonna be back! I hope the expansion will have no affect on all what they have there now because it is quite unique and special!

We've got a bit scared when entered because the place has close to 0 atmosphere and the arrangement of the room and tables is less then unfortunate. A place to improve. BUT, the service is outstanding, the quality of food is superb and the wines are excellent! Thanks for the experience, we leave with very pleasant memories.
