Casa Nora Guest House - 8th apartment

I never write negative feedback, but this time I have to. If you want to save yourself some time, stay away from this hostel. We were suppose to be in one of the two double rooms they got there. After our arrival, we had to wait for 40 minutes because the lady forgot we are coming (even though we texted the hostel our time of arrival) and didn’t clean up our room. We couldn’t go anywhere because of our heavy stuff, so we had to wait for her. Then we couldn’t open our windows and asked her for help. She sent three other random guys who stepped onto our bed and tried to open it but unsuccessfully. Finally, after like 20 more minutes she came but still didn’t help us to open our windows. The there air was unbearable as it was an attic room. After some discussion we negotiated to move into the other room where she told us she already cleaned. She didn’t. She just made the bed with the SAME DIRTY bed sheets that were there before. Everything was sticky and dirty and the bin was still full after previous guests. The bed had holes in it so we had to sleep horizontally. Even the bathroom was smelly and gross, with hairs in the sink. Big no, it’s not even worthy the cheap price, trust me. Go somewhere else if you prefer something that won’t make you feel bad.

The good: The staff are friendly, the location is great, there was a plug for my bed, good pillow, small lockers. The view on the patio overlooks a nice courtyard. The not so good: Getting inside was a bit hard to check in, could use a blanket rather than just a sheet because it's kinda cold at night. It's a great budget place, if you're traveling on budget it's good ?

nothing has been agreed upon in the message. bad organization. inconvenience. as if I had not been informed that I was in a mixed dormitory. I don't know what to say ... unpleasantly surprised

The place was not clean, with major deficiencies. The area is very noisy even with the windows closed. I kept my luggage next to my head because I didn't know who to ask for a key to the closet. No one greeted us, so it was very strange.

Located on a very loud street, with wooden windows partied are heard until 4 am. The hostel was suuuper messy, dirty and totally not cosy. Chose this place because it was not far from a bus top to the airport UPD. It is right I could have checked the location, but the location does not explain absence of toilet paper, broker toilet door, broken boxes for saving valuable things and total mess around

The owner was super friendly and helpful, I really appreciate that. If you have a transit in Budapest and looking for a budget place to stay for one night, then consider booking a private room here. Location is great, just 15-20 minutes of walking to the city center, lots of restaurants and bars nearby. Although if you book make sure they have shared a pin code with you, without it you won’t be able to get inside. In my case they had forgotten it, and I had to wait near the entrance for 30 minutes without any clue what to do next.
