Hatgyermekes földműves családban született. A szegénységük miatt csak ketten (ő és a bátyja) tanulhattak. Gyermekkorában megtapasztalta a csíksomlyói kegyhely pünkösdi búcsújának különlegességét. Ekkor találkozott először az ide zarándokló moldvai csángókkal. (Wikipédia)
 Pál Péter Domokos (Várdotfalva, June 28, 1901 - Budapest, February 19, 1992) Széchenyi Prize-winning Hungarian teacher, historian, ethnographer, researcher of the history and culture of the Csángós. His writers are Ádám Gernyeszeghy and Áron Páldeák.
He was born into a farming family of six. Because of their poverty, only two (he and his brother) could study. As a child, he experienced the peculiarity of the Pentecostal farewell of the Csíksomlyó shrine. It was then that he first met the Moldavian Csangos who were making a pilgrimage here. (Wikipedia)
