Very nice museum. Renovated, expanded building. And the pictures on display are amazing. We had a lot of fun.

It presents the artist's work in an authentic place with a high standard. His original works are also on display. In addition, reproductions are also available.

Every two years (at least) I visit the museum. For a few years, temporary exhibitions almost swept Egry's pictures out of the building. Today, as we went there, we were delighted to see beautiful paintings thanks to Annie Fischer's donation. In fact, there was one that first ... A short film shows the artist's life, but after a while we feel like we're watching the works. It is a pity that the composition of the original collection has changed The artist, who was then very poor and very sick, lived his last years in a 2-story press house (1 floor - 1 room) a few meters from the train station. Once upon a time, on the ground floor, we could get to know Egry's life, as many are unaware of her romantic marriage and of being an absolute self-taught, unable to attend school due to poverty. Yet the way he described his thoughts in the most sophisticated words is not only understandable but touching. First floor: paintings made after World War I, which at first sight would not say that these are images depicted in black contours, mainly depicting human figures. Then comes the miracle on the top floor: the meeting of Egry and Lake Balaton, Egry and the Light. Perhaps we can see the lake with his eyes when we look at the landscape in a very hot day. But we can make sense of it there, locally or by looking at twenty images of the Győr Museum. I do not recommend Budapest, because there is currently 1 in the National Gallery, that is, approx. shows a monitor-sized image of a laptop. Today, the chronological order is not very clear, thank God some paintbrushes have other tools left on the painter's desk, but where is the last work in progress, with some crayon-drawn lines in front of us.
