It's beautiful, with beautiful decorative arts and crafts. Rich in culture and history of the Esterházy royal family and their contributions to Hungarian heritage

Considering how big the castle is, 4 storey high, you see almost nothing just a few big halls, an exhibition of some precious artifacts, the chapel... Not saying, what you do see is spectacular, but you are left wondering about all the things you can't see. The garden was rather disappointing as well, it is small for such a big castle. The rose garden was not accessible in April either. The cafe in the castle yard had just drinks and some cakes... But that doesn't mean I don't highly recommend the site. If you are in the area, you should definitely visit it! It is a unique experience.

About ten rooms can be seen, and others are being restored. Beautiful decor. Interesting leaflet in English helps one to appreciate the rich history of this once great royal palace and it's gardens.

An amazing palace well worth visiting. I would highly recommend the guided tour, and also, taking the electric train around the grounds. Ideal for families, too.

I visited in Jan/22, and there are some renovations taking place on the outside of the palace. I did not go on a tour as they only offer guided tours in HU, no other languages and you can't go by yourself. However you can walk around the gardens in both the front and the back for free. There is also a cafe on site, in the back gardens. Parking is paid at a lot in front of the case. It's recommended to visit, even without the tour of the palace as it's based in Shonbrunn in Vienna.
