Gabor is sich a great host, who explains everything you want to know about the hungarian wines - some of them are available only here. We visit the Faust Wine Cellar every year - always a pleasure!

K	Kasper Norrman on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location is beautiful and Gabor (the owner/host/sommelier) really opened our eyes for Hungarian wines. Especially in my case the whites, since I normally never drink white wine but was overwhelmed by his selection. He is infectiously passionate about the wines, which however has the consequence of him sometimes speaking too fast. There are a lot of complex Hungarian names (which are not exactly easily read or heard) to comprehend. It's also very charming that he does everything himself, but in a fully booked cellar, as it was when we attended, he could've used an assistant for the water and snacks perhaps. You are allowed to buy bottles of any of the wines you tasted after the tasting, which I can highly recommend if you have the possibility. Would definitely recommend to any wine-curious people in Budapest :)

Great wines from interesting and personal locations in Hungary, small vineyards with limited production. Great atmosphere in the old cellar, a bit hard to find though. The guy really knew what he was talking about and you could feel that he had a passion for it. The wines themselves were an interesting mix of flavour and the scones were also delicious. Couldn’t recommend more

The entrance through the hotel can be misleading, but in a minute you arrive at an amazing wine cellar! We also left with a few bottles of wines that are available for a very reasonable price. Thank you and highly recommended for wine lovers!

Enjoyed the experience so much we have booked in to come again. If travelling with luggage make sure to take a few bottles home.
