A Görög Kancsó Étterem Szentendre egyik legrégebbi utcájában, a Fő térről a Dunakorzóra vezető Görög utca alján helyezkedik el. Az utcát (és később az éttermet is) a XVII. század végén, a török hódítás elől szép számmal Szentendrére települő görög népességről kapta. Az étterem 1961-ben nyílt, amikor a város készülni kezdett az idegenforgalomra, vendéglátásra. Ekkor kérték fel Szánthó Imre (1925-1998) festőművészt, készítse el a cégtáblát és a belső dekorációt. Ez időben született a belső térben ma is látható Szentendre látképét ábrázoló freskó.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is excellent, staff is superb, not to mention location, but there are so many posh people on this place I'm not even surprised waiters are fed up with humanity. Just while I was visiting I saw 4 screaming botox ladies with the smallest dogs and some degenerates, their kids, 2 boat captains, probably none of them been on a boat ever, and some overweight couple who almost ate the table. Anyhow, keep up the good work and please say thanks to the cook in my name!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nicely located at the river's bank in picturesque Szentendre. Efficient service however food of somewhat average quality, nothing extraordinary (e.g. tzatziki did not remind us of those original Greek. The venue is full of the guests anyway.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a great place. It is possible to ask the food immediately for takeaway. They box it nicely and there is a 10% discount when you ask the food to takeaway.
We had gyros plate and falafel plate both were good portions, good size. Place is recommended. No vegan option at all, vegetarians will find good options.

Well, I think quality was good enough, service was fast and smooth.
A bit overpriced but tasty.
We had a table on the street near the river Danube and that was fancy with good atmosphere!
But inside the restaurant is very old and tiny.
STRONG 3 STAR! Should try!

Waiter wasn't so nice and the service took a lot of time.
Food come a bit cold, as the waiter didn't pay attention, and didn't bring it to us when it was ready.
The location is good, even the place is nice, but for us this was the last time.
Not even the food was so good, average.
