Reiterstandbild.
Equestrian statue. Incredible but true, students used to climb high and stroke the horse's testicles so as not to fail in upcoming exams. Since many entrances have fallen down, this stupid tradition is now banned. So hands off balls that don't belong to you.

The equestrian monument to the military leader Count Andras Hadik von Futak is located on the Castle Hill in Budapest, at the intersection of Sentharomshag and Uri Streets. The author of the monument, erected in 1837, is the sculptor Gyorgy Vastag. Andras Hadik was an Austrian field marshal of Hungarian-Slovak origin. He went down in history as a hero of the Seven Years' War of 1756-1763, who carried out a daring cavalry raid on Berlin in October 1757, capturing it for a day. For the liberation of the city, Hadik demanded from the Berlin municipality a significant monetary compensation for himself, his officers and soldiers. The merits of the hussar Andras Hadik were marked with a high imperial award, which in the entire history of Austria was awarded to only 20 generals - the Grand Cross of the Order of Maria Theresa. The monument is simultaneously dedicated to the memory of the 3rd Imperial and Royal Hussars of Arad, founded in 1702 and existed until the fall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in 1918. A glass container with the names of the regiment's heroes is embedded in its base.

Famous for his bravery of General Hussar, András Hadik poses with elegance and simplicity on a stallion of Bábolna.

Students would touch the horse’s balls for good luck in exams. Now you’re no longer allowed to climb up and do this.

Heroic statue in a small square. When we went, we were told that it was a tradition for women wanting children to touch the horse's balls for good luck in conceiving. That was five years ago
