 Baron János György Harruckern, a large German landowner of German descent. During the Turkish occupation, the desert was populated mainly by Slovak settlers, but also French and Italians arrived.
His bust was made by Mihály Búzás art teacher from Szarvas, standing in front of the Árpád Hotel. It was inaugurated on 3 October 1997. "
