ℹ Bunkers around Szeged were added to Google Maps during the Cold War military bunkers around Szeged. The observation deck of the 605th Regiment is the pentagonal A-28 type observation bunker. It was built between 1952 and 1955 as part of the Southern Defense System, which would have protected the country from a possible Yugoslav attack. Next to the main road, the two rooms rise on a hill; reinforced concrete structure with a short foyer and two observation openings. The object is easy to enter, but due to the slope of the hill it is not easy to climb from the road. Grass, weeds and other creepers that roughly reach the knees on the mound make it difficult to progress, but the fort is still within easy reach. ℹ The detailed presentation of the fortifications of the Southern Defense System around Szeged will take place in the framework of the video series entitled Cold War Military Bunkers Around Szeged.
