Móric Jókay Ásvai, better known as Mór Jókai (Komárom, February 18, 1825 - Budapest, Erzsébetváros, May 5, 1904) is one of the young people of March, a novelist, the “great Hungarian storyteller”, member of parliament, member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences He is a member of the board of directors of the Academy, a knight of the Order of St. Stephen, a member of the Kisfaludy Society, from 1876 to 1903 the president of the Petőfi Society, an honorary member of the Dugonics Society. Brother of Károly Jókay and Eszter Jókai.
