A temető felől megközelítve a hegy lábát, egy hídon átkelve, a kerítés mentén van egy meredek út felfelé, ott gyorsabb a feljútás, de egyben igazi kihívás gyerekekkel (de teljesíthető). :) Van egy tanösvény, amely részben lépcsőkkel kiépített, kacskaringós. A fentebb említett híd után jobbra a kerítés mentén, kb. 400 m után van egy kis kapu (a tanösvény bejárata). A kilátóhoz vezető utat meghosszabbítja, hogy a falu szélén lévő temetőnél lehet parkolni. Kedves helyi útbaigazítás útán megtudtuk, hogy akit nem zavar a földes göröngyös úton való autózás, akkor az 500 m-rel beljebb egy kiépített pihenőnél is le tud parkolni. Így ezen táv megtétele után jutunk a hegy lábához. A csúcson a Majer Antal kilatóból csodálatos panoráma tárul elénk, megéri a küzdelmes felvezető utat (útközben vannak pihenőhelyek). Gyönyörű szép hely, nagyon jó levegő, két 4 év alatti gyerekkel is megközelíthető. The lookout can be reached in several ways. Approaching the foot of the mountain from the cemetery, crossing a bridge, there is a steep path up the fence, there is a faster ascent, but at the same time a real challenge with children (but achievable). :) There is a study trail, which is partly built with stairs and winding. After the bridge mentioned above, turn right along the fence, approx. After 400 m there is a small gate (entrance to the study trail). The road to the lookout is extended by parking at the cemetery on the edge of the village. After a kind local guide, we learned that if you are not bothered by driving on a dirt bumpy road, you can park at a built-in rest area 500 m further. So after making this distance we get to the foot of the mountain. At the top, a magnificent panorama unfolds in front of us from the Majer Antal lookout tower, well worth the struggling access road (there are resting places along the way). Beautiful nice place, very good air, also accessible with two children under 4 years.

Veszprém irányából Bánd településre beérve a temető mellett balra kanyarodva egy fedett pihenőhelytől gyalogosan vághatunk neki a túrának. Szentgál irányából a Somogyi Béla utcán keresztül elhagyva a települést, mintegy 10,5 km hosszan követve az aszfaltozott, majd murva burkolatú utat, érhetjük el a parkolót. Innen a kilátó megközelítése gyalogosan lehetséges. A kilátó a piros jelzéseken és a tanösvényen keresztül is elérhető. A 22,15 méter magas kilátó legfelső (17,5 m) pihenőszintjéről pazar 360°-os panoráma nyílik a Bakony északi és déli csúcsaira, valamint a Balaton-felvidék felé. Megfelelő túrabakancsban is észnél kell lenni sáros és/vagy jeges-havas időben. Kifejezetten hasznos volt a túrabot, főleg a tiszafáson át, lefelé! Kihagyhatatlan élmény volt! Beautiful and romantic. Sunny parts are muddy, shady sections are icy and snowy. In January, this is normal. You should also be aware of muddy and / or icy snow in suitable hiking boots. The hiking stick was especially useful, especially through the yew tree, down! It was an unmissable experience!

A kilátó pihenőszintje 17,5 m magas és remek kilátás nyílik a Bakony vonulataira és a Balatonra is. Megközelíthető Bánd településről a tanösvényen keresztül gyalogosan, de túracipő és túrabot használata ajánlott.
