J	Jakub Sałanowski on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible experience that I've had just minutes ago. Service is an edge disaster - none interest towards customers. People are coming and people are leaving without any attention from service - that's a kind of motto that enlightens this place. I was waiting for 3 dishes (me, wife and two kids) for more than 45minutes. Before ordering I was informed that est time of delivery is from 20-25 min. After half an hour I kindly asked what's going on with my dinner. Waiter told me that it could take a couple of minutes more. So called "couple o minutes" changed into 20 min which forced me to leave and pay only for beer and lemonade. I highly do not recommend !!!

This area is beautiful, and if you visit Lake Balaton, you should not leave before you've paid a visit to Tihanyi. Only feedback is that the restaurant brought our food out at all different times. Apparently there are two kitchens, however they should have the kitchens work together to time the food right. Food at different times was especially difficult for the kids who ended up waiting to eat last.

In 2018; moved to a more fancy place and changed the pulled pork completely. I don't recommend it at all. It is juicy as hell (sauce is OK if comes separately) but here you have no choice, this is the most liquid version of pulled pork I have ever tried. And it doesn't look good at all. Potato comes in an incredible amount, it is oily, but not bad. The beef burger was the best choice in our company, and the duck was also a great selection. Looking for a much better pulled pork...
Z	Zoltán Bartók on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good place but... I'm trying to avoid meat as much as I can therefore I was happy to see such choices on the menu. The disappointment came when the food was served and the size was rather a starter for 1eur less than the burger menu. Hmm cheaper ingredients, not reflecting neither in price nor the size. While during our stay I saw almost all meat eater plates were taken with some remainig bites on it. I was left there with a child size plate and frustration why that relatively cheap ingredient (tök főzelèk) could not be served in a decent size for an average grown up. When the waiter asked how was the food I did mention this but there was practically no reaction. Not even a 'sorry to hear that I will tell the chef'. Looked like they are not expecting any criticism when asking the question or no protocol to handle such. Both experience can be fixed easily and with not much investment. Hope to see this happen until my next visit.

The food was just fine. Edit after a thorough check of the bill: They love to add things on your bill. Take care. Edit 2 as it is not possible to reply to the business' reply: Thank you for your positive response. Yes, it is serious and this is the reason I've written the review. We have emailed the bill to you with the double charge.
B	Balázs Spéder on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food, we ordered plum cream soup which was absolutely stunning, and several poultry based main dishes. See 2 pics for example. Nice presentation, but I find it a bit pricey even in Balaton region terms after considering food size. Next time I try the local farm type pizza and see if I upgrade to a 5 :)
C	Csaba Harmath on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Once upon a time it was near Balatonfüred a place to visit, out of almost everything, people came by car to eat there. They've moved to Tihany's very center, and I don't think they've kept the same target clientele. There are still some foodies for the name and fame, but mostly lots of tourist. The food is still good, but I recall the older formula.
E	Elroy Thummler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Even in a touristic little town like Tihany there are good and inexpensive restaurants. Malackrumpli has a nice open atmosphere, good food and friendly service. Great stop after the ferry!
