★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful, casual place filled with books with very accessible prices, great and friendly staff, quite the perfect opposite of a tourist trap in Budapest. The only reason to leave a negative review would be to gatekeep it, not make it more popular, so as to maintain its air of intimacy. ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I lived in Budapest for 2 Years and go to Cafes often and this is by far my favorite place. Not only do they have a wonderful selection of books, the staff and the owner are very forthcoming and ready to talk about the literature, they also have nice cakes, more often than not even vegan and/or gluten free alternatives. The atmosphere is perfect for bringing a friend or studying on your own and most of the time it's not loud in there like many other Cafés. Can only recommend wholeheartedly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ nice place, friendly staff. there is quite nice matcha so I recommend to drink one. it looks like someone made a cafe with an old library which is a compliment! it's quiet and cozy.
not a fan of no laptop tables - don't get me wrong, I get that, but no laptop tables are maximum for 2 people and people tend to sit there alone for hours with laptop at 4 people table so it's sometimes hard to find a place for yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a very cozy and cute cafe with tons of books. If you are a book lover, this is a must visit place in Budapest. I ordered matcha latte at 800 ft which is good and tasty. They have good Wi-Fi and outlets for charging your laptop etc. For digital nomad, I can recommend this cafe as well. They have some snacks and cakes too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cute, warm, cozy little bookstore and cafe. It was nice to sip on some hot cocoa in here on a cold day. There are a variety of books to read from. The wooden book shelves, tables, and chairs make it feel like you are in an old school bookstore. Mostly a bunch of students with laptops in there, but still quite quiet. The staff is friendly. The hot cocoa was okay (a bit bitter and unsweetened, but they have sugar that you can use). All in all, it was nice to see this type of bookstore still exists in the world.
