T	Tunde on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1766-ban emelte a lakosság ezt a templomot, abból, amit itt lehetett találni, fából és sárból, amikor Mária Terézia rendelkezései megtagadták a követ és a téglát a reformáció híveitől. A templom köveken állt, erre kerültek rá a nagyméretű talpgerendák. Favázas rendszerben épült, a vázak közötti részt paticsfal tölti ki, ekkor még teremtemplom. Már 1784-ben a templomot nyugat felé kibővítik, elkészül a "renováta". A mennyezeti kazettán olvashatjuk: "RENOVÁTA: ANNO 1784." A festett fakazettás mennyezete, berendezése, szószéke, karzata adja az igazi értékét, s emeli olyan hírnévre, hogy ország-határainkon túlról is egyre többen jönnek megtekinteni ezt a kis templomocskát. A színes mennyezet készítője a nevét egy kazettán megörökítette: BARÁTH MIHÁLY. Az építtető nevét is megtaláljuk a mennyezeten: "AZ TÁKOSI NEMES REFORMÁTA, SZENT EKLÉSIA " In 1766 the population erected this church, out of what could be found here, in wood and mud, when the provisions of Mary Theresa refused the stone and the brick from the Reformers. The ceiling, furnishings, pulpit and gallery of the painted wooden cassette give its real value, and it raises it to such a reputation that more and more people come to see this little church from beyond the borders of our country. The maker of the colored ceiling recorded his name on a cassette: MIHÁLY BARÁTH. The name of the builder can also be found on the ceiling: "THE NOBLE REFORMATION OF TÁKOSI, SAINT ECLESIA"
