★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Valaha Sopronban hihetetlen mértékű lehetett az I Világháború hőseinek a tisztelete. Ennek több emléke ma is látható, de sajnos sokat elpusztítottak, vagy finoman eltüntettek a II. Világháborút követően. Így ezekről sokkal kevesebbet tudunk, és sok hős neve merült így feledésbe. Szerencsére Muhr Ottomár ezredesé ennek a nemrég állított szobornak köszönhatően nincs ilyesfajta feledésre ítélve.
