It is very pleasant that the staff contacted us before we reach the Hostel , indicated us how to reach the Hostel and gave us a preview of the daily activities they offer. The staff is very welcoming and includes you in the games and going out. The apartment was very well equipped and it was very clear and easy how to access it. Really great localization. Really cosy and warm apartment.

The place is fine, everything should be to your liking, but I must have had some bad luck. Service was friendly, I can't fault that. My main complaint is their laundry service, all my clothes came back shrunken, not great when that's everything you have to travel with, someone doesn't know how to use a dryer, I'd have preferred to have done it myself. Clothes are rarely cheap these days so this will cost me. Other hostels have a laundry room, this system would be my preference so that you're responsible for your own laundry. The apartment layout is great, but it means that other guests don't know if someone is in and sleeping. Being woken up throughout the night by guests assuming no one is in is no fun.. I only stayed for one night deliberately to have a private room and a good night sleep recovery before continuing. The beds and pillows are not comfortable, I woke up with a sore neck to add to it all. Also it's not a very social place from what I saw. This isn't a hostel to make friends in. I wouldn't stay again. It's almost an awesome hostel, but they screw up on the basics, such a shame.

At Pal’s you will be literally in the heart of the action, just steps away from the St. Stephen’s Cathedral and a short walk away from Deak Ferenc ter which is a transport hub right in the centre of Budapest. You can’t ask for more central location, yet it was peaceful and quiet, day and night. It was cleaner that most 3-4 star hotels I stayed at. We were given an apartment with private bathroom for the price of a private room with a shared bathroom – a great off-season deal! The place was very spacious, enough to fit five people. It was impeccably clean, had all requisite amenities and stoked with plates and cutlery, enough to fix a simple meal. There was a small problem with heating but after calling the reception they immediately sent a staff member to fix the thermostat, and the night passed warm and nice. Relevant only for people with mobility limitations: Tto reach the apartment one has to first check-in at the reception (access through two automated doors, ascend 2nd floor with an elevator) and then walk around the corner and enter through another automated door and ascend 5th floor with an elevator

The hostel is nice, and its key strength is undoubtedly the position. It is very central, you will be able to walk the city from its heart having everything, transports included at your fingertips. The staff was kind, friendly and over all helpful. The room was tidy and clean. We were given a room in an apartment fairly big and worm: he kitchen was functional and we were given also a highchair for the baby. I would definitely recommend this place

Stayed there a couple years back. Service was good and very cheap for what we got, which was a huge apartment. Did not use most of the services the hostel offered because our location was across form the Basilica. Only trip was that there was no where to deposit our key after we had to leave early in the morning for our flight.

Wow. This is an amazing hostel! We immediately felt welcome and we're greeted in a warm way! The apartment itself is incredibly spacious and certainly big enough for groups of 3 - 8! The building itself is very old looking, but it also gives off the feeling that this building had a long history. Overall, superb location and I certainly recommend this place!

If you are looking for place to stay in Pest side of Budapest nothing will be better than Pal's hostel. Care taker was super friendly and we got big rooms on 3rd floor and we had amazing view of St. Basilica from our window?
