★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saint László or Ladislaus or Saint Ladislas was the King of Hungary from 1077 and also of Croatia from 1091. He was the son of King Béla. There is a famous legend in which László rescues a kidnapped Hungarian girl from a Turkish wartior. Ladislaus's main focus was the restoration of public safety.
Ladislaus was made a Saint by by Pope Celestine III on 27 June 1192.
