Határozott kiállású, sudár Szusza Ferencet látunk, a jobb kezével a szívén. Vajh a magyar himnuszt hallgathatja, vagy az Újpesti indulót? Az elmaradhatatlan labda ott van a földön, kicsit közelebb a jobb lábához, hogy a sípszó elhangzása után kilőhessen vele a csatár. Körbejárva a szobrot, a hátán kirajzolódik a 9-es mezszám. Szusza Ferenccel (1923-2006) kapcsolatban ez a stadion körül több helyen is fellelhető idézet ragad meg: "Élhetek bárhol, ide jövök haza!". Játékosként itt élt Újpesten, itt játszott az UTE-ben (UTE, Budapesti Dózsa, Újpesti Dózsa) 26 hosszú éven át, és lőtt 462 NB1-es mérkőzésén 393 gólt. Az Újpesttel 4 bajnoki címet nyert. A 2017-ben felállított szobor alkotója Szabó Sándor Ferenc, akinek furcsamód más alkotását nem találtam a köztérképen sem.
