This bar / restaurant is just off the busiest streets in Pest and is a great find. From outside, this venue does not look inviting but please step inside and you won't regret it. Great food, great prices and great customer service. We found this place near the end of our city break otherwise we would have become regulars!

Incredible service, great ambiance and authentic and delicious home cooked food. Between us we’ve been to Budapest many times and this was by far our favourite restaurant of all. To start we had the cheese plate, pancakes, goulash soup, sausages and garlic cream soup. We couldn’t fault any of it. We all had the chicken paprikas for our main. The sauce is so tasty and the chicken was perfectly cooked. Most importantly the staff were amazing. So attentive and so friendly. It would be at the top of our list of restaurants to return to!

Lovely, old-school place with plenty fun items to see. Good food with the best garlic soup! Very patient, English speaking staff, too!

Traditional hungarian food, very good taste, good prices, very nice stuff here, speaking many languages ? it is ok for families also, pankaces with nutella were very tasty?

Nice restaurant with classic hungarian cuisine. I had the chicken paprikash and a beer to accompany it. The dish itself was very good, and the chicken was so tender that the meat easily fell off the bone. The dumpling that was served with the chicken was also tasty. But the star off the dish was the sauce. It was really something else, and it was so flavorful and tasty. Beer was also good, and they have quite a few different brands on draft. And even more bottled. Local wine and even drinks are available, so they have a few options to choose. The service was very polite and welcoming. Only a thought is that they can be a bit more attentive and have a faster pace. Since it seemed that several guests had to wait a bit after finishing to be approached. They even had the time to approach since it was not so full. Payment with both cards and cash is available, so that's always great. And the location is easy enough to find if you know about it beforehand. The local is very retro inspired in its design, and it has a very special charm because of that. Just note that the bill includes a service charge of 10%.

Really nice atmosphere. Really nice food. Really nice staff. Here you'll find traditional food from Budapest. I 100% recommend this place for a relaxed dinner with friends.

Initially I was gonna give 4 stars, cause I thought service could have been friendlier and they could have paid more attention to us, but by the time we left I was set on 5 stars. Service fee included in the bill, you pay separately at the counter and food was good.
