Interesting place, funny and meaningful guide.

The cave is presented very thoroughly, in detail, in a versatile and connected way. After vomiting this fate, this is a worthy approach: showing it as a natural treasure, focusing on its formation and history. There is some incomplete information that should be part of general education. The two hours spent here are well-timed, but do not think that driving is 120 minutes, you can reach a bit - fortunately.

It had to wait in the rain for the statue. Why isn't the meeting announced for the cave entrance (rain, warm, etc.) We were here for 300 in the 90's and now have 3600 to 1500% inflation? Then there was a reception hall with exhibitions, now nothing. Time and waste of money.

We had a ticket for Friday, it was raining during the meeting, we didn’t see anyone at the base of the statue, which is the ill-conceived meeting point. No phone was picked up or called back, the same with FB messenger. By the time we found the entrance, (google maps is navigating aside) it was already closed, no door was opened. We haven't seen the cave, I can't comment on it. On organization and attention, yes: a snap. I’ve been trying to reach them for a couple of days to see when we can go with unused tickets. They are not picked up, called or written back.

It was interesting to explore this hidden world. Our manager was very kind, flexible and informative, thank you very much.

The website recommends it from the age of 12, but today we tried it with my 8 year old son and we both really enjoyed it. This is actually the middle part of the cave and cellar system under the castle, between the Rock Hospital and the Buda Labyrinth. Yet all three are completely different: the special function and exhibition in the Rock Hospital is emphasized, the main virtue of the Labyrinth being that we can roam freely in it, while the Castle Cave tries to focus on natural values. We used to be in the caves of Szemlő-hegy and Pál-völgy, and we were enriched with similar positive experiences here as well. On their homepage, they advise the tour above 12 years, but we visited today with my 8-year old son, and we both enjoyed it. The place is the mid part of the cave and basement system under the castle, between the Labyrinth and the Hospital in the rock. But all three are different: the Hospital has a great exhibiton material and has its special function, the best part of the Labyrinth is that you can explore it on your own, the Buda Castle Cave is part of a national park, focusing on the natural value. We previously visited the Pál Valley and Szemlő Hill caves, and here we had a similar positive experience.

Fantastic place! The host Viki is nice, funny, it was good to walk with him for 1.5 hours.
