★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Villax Ödön 1899 december 23-án Karancsberényben született és 1964 április 04-en Madridban halt meg. Növénynemesítő, intézetigazgató. Foglalkozott a lápi talajokkal, a pillangós virágú növényekkel és a hazai kukoricafajtákkal.
1948-tól Franciaországban, 1951-től Portugáliában, 1958-tól Marokkóban dolgozott. Szülőföldjétől távol, Madridban halt meg.
 Ödön Villax was born on 23 December 1899 in Karancsberény and died on 4 April 1964 in Madrid. Plant breeder, institute director. He dealt with bog soils, butterfly-flowering plants, and domestic corn varieties.
He worked in France from 1948, in Portugal from 1951, and in Morocco from 1958. He died in Madrid, far from his homeland.
