Average to bad chimney cake with scamming staff, we paid with 5 euro banknote and we got 2€ back and the rest was something like 50 cents in HUF, with stuff claiming it's 1€. Also, 500 HUF is the price in forints, and 2€ (not the same value, make sure you pay in HUF if possible)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They do not accept cards, and staff is cheating with change! Gave us part in euro, other part in forints, claiming that 1€ = 250ft !! So the cakes turned out to be twice price, not to mention that the taste is not anything special at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is a chimney cake stand here. I didn’t get a great picture, but it is what it is. They were fresh and delicious. However, the guy tried to rip me off. He didn’t give me correct change and when I went back to tell them he kept saying I was trying to steal money. It cost 500 huf and I only had a 10.000 bill. He only gave me 8.000 back- taking 1500huf extra! Luckily I went back and argued for my money back, despite them knowing almost no English.

As other people mentioned, they scam you with the change. We gave them a 5000HUF note for one chimney cake (500HUF) and got back 1500HUF. We realized that at that very same moment and said to them that they gave us the incorrect change. The two girls looked at us in astonishment and said we gave them a 2000HUF note while taking a note and showing it to us (as if it was the one we gave them). We insisted but they, rudely, kept saying we gave them 2000. It was their word against ours, so we gave up.
By the reviews I'm reading here, looks like it's a common practice.
Do not buy from this place, this should be closed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious Chimney Cake 10/10 would buy again. While doing so enjoy a stroll through one of the shopping streets and get to know the city a bit more. Apparently there have been some problems with incorrect change at this location but we have not encountered something like that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are two polar opposites for this chimney cake kiosk. Firstly, this is the freshest and hottest chimney cake I have tried in Budapest, and the cheapest for sure. Considering the how bad the famous Molnars is in comparison, this is much better in taste, and one third of the price.
However! The women working inside are the rudest people to a tourist I have ever seen. They yell at me just because I wanted different covering than cinnamon probably because they don't speak English. Also, even though they say there is no card usage, they have the card and use it sometimes. You should just go there, pay exactly 500 HUF without any need for change, get your chimney cake and go away basically ?
