The best days of Hotel Richer are over, but it is an acceptable low-budget option for 2 nights or less. The rooms of the hotel look nice, the staff is friendly and they have a heated floor. In the shower, there are two standard European power outlets and a hair dryer. Hotel Richer has a 24h reception (or at least there was somebody at ~8am and at ~11pm. However, the breakfast was awful. Only dry toast (not toasted), butter, jam, milk, flakes, sausage and cheese. In the three days in which I was there, the sausage, milk and butter was two times empty. As you can see on the pictures, there are many small problems with the room as well: cracked tiles, holes in the towel, a super small shower head, no smoke detector in the room. What you can't see in the picture: I was there for 4 days/3 nights and the room was not cleaned. We only had one small trash bin in the toilet. We had to ask for more toilet paper. The towels were not changed. There are in total 4 power outlets in the room, of which one is occupied by a bed lamp, one by a small (empty) refrigerator and one by the TV. All are more than 1m away from the bed. Only one side of the bed has a bed lamp. There is iron and no water cooler in the room (which is totally ok and expecte fora 2-star hotel) The reason why I give only one star is the room cleaning. I expect that from any hotel.

Horrible and sad place. Very ugly and old furniture small room,and not even that cheap to be that bad. The one positive thing is that heating in the room is very good. Nobody speaks English, even at the reception desk and the place looks like haunted hotel. Stay away

Worst hotel I've ever stayed! Briefly: bed was full with hair, pillow had saliva stains, the walls were dirty and the bathroom was so outdated even my grandma has newer sink and toilet. We had no reservation so the receptionist told us that they have free room, but if we want to stay just for one night he will give us a room in the other building near the hotel, but if we want to stay for at least two nights he can arrange to sleep in the hotels building. We said that we don't know yet, so we pay for one night and if we decide to stay more than we pay that too the next day. So the receptionist shoved us our room, which was disguisting. I had to put some clothes on the bed to sleep on it, because it was full with hair and the pillow was full with saliva stains. The breakfast was really poor, everything was really cheap . I have read other peoples comments but I guess they stayed in the hotels building, were the pictures on the site are from. The room in wich I stayed is not among the hotel's pictures. I would not stay again here, and would not recommend. P.S. So watch out if you still decide to stay at this hotel for the room you are getting.

DO NOT BOOK! WORST HOTEL THAT YOU CAN IMAGINE! People are so rude. In room heating wasn't working. The room was so called. Sheets are very dirty. There arr lots of hairs on the sheets and salvia stains on the pillow. The room and the bathroom smells sooo bad. There lots of ants and bugs. The boss and the workers are the rudest people I have ever seen. We asked for refund and they said you can leave but we will not give you money. We talked to booking and they said okay they should give your money back. But the boss said I can only pay for one night. We said we booked for 3 nights and he said "You have 2 options, either you take one night refund or leave the hotel without any money. It's my decision to give you money or not and I decided to give only one night refund." UNBELIEVABLE! Choosing this hotel is totally a mistake!

The accommodation itself is not bad, but the service and management is shameful. They have this typical bad attitude like they are having this hotel in order to help people to have place to sleep, so they can ignore your emails, ignore your calls, not provide what they have to according to law, but you should be thankful and come there again, because, in their view they "helped" you so much for letting you sleep in their precious bed, for money of course. I booked this accommodation for my colleague who came from abroad. We have requested a receipt for the stay. First, the accommodation provider claimed that it is not them who has to issue a receipt. I have contacted booking.com, and they told me that it is not true and hotel has to issue the receipt. We contacted them again, via call. They said "Alright, send us the details via email". We have sent the details, no reply. The day after we called again, million questions: who/when/why/where, and they said "They will deal with this." Nothing has happened after. Today I called again, the receptionist first claimed she did not receive the email at all. She said that she will call her boss to deal with the issue. He called us after claiming that they have issued the receipt during the stay with the name of the guest (even though he claimed first that he is not the one that issues the receipt for booking.com payments) and it was our responsibility to warn the receptionist or whatever. At the end, we have received the receipt (which does not correspond with the reality, as it says that we paid by cash but this was the most they could do). This is not according to Hungarian law. And we got this receipt as a reply on the email which they claimed they have not received. This service is shameful and no doubt that they have that low score on booking.com and Google Maps. Lots of lies, no open communication, and once again - not complying with the legislation.
