Nice architecture the all market, really classic building. Now lots of restaurants and shops closed. The toilet open with 100 HUF.

Worst of its kind in Budapest. Don't walk here more than 5 minutes if you expect something peculuar. There are several bigger places like this around Budapest and they all give a better experience. Don't come here as a tourist. Come only if you need a supermarket.

This is such a nice market place. It's been recently renovated and it looks great. You have to know it exists because it's hidden by a giant building. They have everything, in terms of produce and if for some reason the local sellers are not there, there are quite a few shops that will be great backup for your shopping needs. The deli with its many salamis is a sure hit.

The building has been renovated, and I can't tell if it's a blessing or the opposite. It's very contemporary inside but at least still traditional on the outside. As for the stalls and shops, there are just a few and products are generally more expensive than fruit, veg and cheese elsewhere in Budapest. I didn't get the sensation local/Hungarians would shop here.

Good market hall, also has SPAR inside. A bit expensive.

A nice small market in the Jewish quarter. Not aimed at tourist, so slightly cheaper than other areas. There's a supermarket, a few fruit and veg stalls and a bakery. There is a food court upstairs, there was only one place open when I was there, but it was amazing. The Langos was great (fried batter with sour cream and cheese). The lady makes it fresh while you wait. She didn't speak English, but there's a menu and some pictures, so if you're fluent in pointing, the food is really cheap compared to the other, more touristy market (and the food much better)

All very shut. Very few stalls. I remember this havin a great upper level food court, with some amazing places to eat. Perhaps I came at the wrong time or day?

Great little market in the heart of the Pest side of Budapest, very close to the opera house and St Stephen's Basilica. Find anything you need here and a lot of things you had no idea you needed.
