Quite an elegant French restaurant with professional and nice staff, we enjoyed our evening there a lot. After some welcome champagne and amuse bouche here's what I had: Starter: wild garlic velouté with tender breaded chicken and perfectly soft-boiled quail egg Main course: Serbian carp - I loved the textures, how thinly layered the potatoes were, how crispy the skin and how soft the fish was! I had a good kadarka with it, it was a perfect match Desserts: we shared desserts with my partner in crime, she chose a dill-cottage cheese cake with lemon sorbet, while mine was a pumpkin-seed brownie with beetroot sorbet and peanut cream Petit four: chocolate mousse with salty caramel inside, served as a black pearl inside of a shell (the name of the restaurant means "the black pearl"), it was beautiful!

The manager was incredibly nice, the waiters as well. The food was also amazing and at lunch, there is a 10€ menu with 2 courses. Will definitely come back if I have the chance.

The food is good, but the service was slow, despite not being busy at all. I would say the food itself is on the medium high end but I wouldn't classify it as memorable. I had no complaints but there wasn't a particular draw that would bring me back again. A plus for them is that they did seem very knowledgeable about the wines they served and made strong recommendations.

I’m writing this review as I enjoy my lunch. Overall, the food was pretty good but not mind blowing. The lemonade that came with lunch was very refreshing. The presentation of each plate was nice and the staff was very responsive, kind, and respectful. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because nothing felt like it was out of the ordinary, but I was pleased with the experience. Dessert was the best part, and the prices were not too bad. I payed around 20 US dollars. Compared to prices back home, it was okay but I’m sure you can find cheaper options in the area. It was pretty slow at around 3pm when I had lunch, coming at a more busy time might change the experience. I’d say it’s worth giving it a try if you’re in the area. Update: Prices are a bit... So I decided to have lunch here again. This time it was only a la carte... which was a bit disappointing because the lunch option I had before was a really good deal. I ordered the burger and some water. Burger was nothing amazing, a bit on the salty side for my taste. For the price, I wish I would have gone somewhere else but the proximity to where I was staying and the heat outside made me come here again. The staff was a bit busy this time but still respectful and helpful. The cost of just the burger was 4790 forints, about the same as the three items I had the day before... I would recommend finding out if they have the three course meal available before eating.

Very cosy and pleasant restaurant. Wonderful location in the flat side (Pest) os the Budapest. Nice staff taking care of you. French kitchen. Expressively good taste. Well matched courses with the respective vines. Excellent. Highly recommend.

Good quality food compared with the rest of this touristic area. Don't be fooled by the name, it is Hungarian food and cheaper than you would say by it's fancy decoration. Hungarian food with a little modern touch, it's worth it.

Arrived 7.30. The very restricted menu was reduced to 4 choices. The only staff spoke only German though it claims to bea French restaurant. The house wine was expensive and oxidised. My traditional beef stew was served with 4 very small pickled veg which were to spicy for me and an open chilli. Little wonder the place was empty. When it was time to pay there was some complication with paying in the restaurant so had to be to hotel checkout where it took the man there 5 minutes with a calculator to work out the cost of 2 meals and 2 drinks. Service charge not mentioned on the menu was added too before an A4 invoice was produced. Not a good experience.

We were here after the Museum of Hungarian Post. We had a peaceful lunchtime and specially a very good goulash, Cesar salad and stewed meat. The only problem was with the payment. They made a small mistake in the bill, as they charged the water Panna with the cost of San Pellegrino, and the procedure of payment was a little too long; I do recommend as for all the places that you check the bill before paying. Be aware that they charge some 12%-15% for service as everywhere else. Overall the experience was good, leaving anyway some areas of improvement.
