The worst place in Bud! Don’t go.
I’ve been here 3 times. The first two times wasnot super nice, but I like gipsy music. Musicians are really nice and cheerful.
But third time I’ve come with my mom. And was so bad. Waitress and cassier man was so rude and agressive.
It’s a self-service place and It’s wintertime,
we just wanted to take puffers off and put our bags before to go to take food. Because it’s extremely inconvenient to carry tray full of food when you fully dressed in thick puffers and all your hands are busy with bags.
But waitress didn’t let us do it and reacted very agressive saying “we don’t have table reservation”? f*ck, I don’t need a reservation, I need empty hands to carry food as far as it’s a self-service?
But guys here was so rude. So bad. My day was completely stressed and distroyd after this situation. My mom was also shocked and upset.
Thanks, guy. You showed me the worst sample of Hungarian hospitality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A busy and cozy place. We tried local dishes - Gulyas soup, Pörkölts with Nokedli, Rakott Krumpli. For me, everything tasted great, full of flavor. There is live music during lunchtime (violin) and employees are very helpful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Funny name, good traditional Hungarian food (Very similar to our Czech cuisine), we had goulash (stew) and goulash soup. Both good and nice served. Due to its location in market we expected a little bit lower prices, but is was good :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Canteen type of restaurant serving traditional hungarian dishes. We tried the hungarian sausage & cabbage, and a Goulash stew; both tasty. It was our first stop for food in Budapest. After eating in many other restaurants, it’s safe to say that Fakanal Etterem is overpriced.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ You probably pay more because of it's location, but this place gave me a good introduction to Hungarian Food. If you chose the "Hungarian Tasting Menu" you get to try four traditional dishes (4690 Ft). You queue canteen style to get served. Whilst there was live music inside, the outside tables have great views down the full length of the Market Hall.
