Exceptional stay! Great modern rooms and spa facilities. Fitness centre is also of good size and equipped with the latest equipment. Also have to thank the staff for making it an excellent stay, especially as we were celebrating an occasion and they went above and beyond to prepare the room for this!

We loved the hotel during our stay and the service was fantastic. It's in a good location, walking distance to most places or a bus and Tram station nearby. The bathrooms are updated and very large, except the bath tub which is a bit small. The bed was also super comfortable (medium-soft).

My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights from February 9-11. We were excited for the great location and beautiful amenities. We were quite happy with comfortable beds, clean rooms, and friendly staff. We started experiencing issues in the morning after our first night. We woke up to ice cold water that would not get any warmer. We asked the hotel staff to look into the issue on our way out for the day. We returned to our room in the evening to find that our key cards no longer worked to enter our room. We went back to the front desk to have this issue fixed and then inquired if they had an update about the water issue. It seemed that it was the first they had heard of it and they told us they would call the room with an update. We waited 25 minutes for an update before calling back down to the desk. When we connected with staff about this issue for the third time, they suggested to us that we should try letting the water run for a couple minutes to see if it gets warm and to try turning the handle the other direction. After confirming that this indeed didn’t fix the issue, they sent up a technician. We left for dinner shortly after the technician came and upon return, we found that we needed to move rooms. The hotel staff was kind to upgrade us to a loft room and provide us with a fruit and cheese platter. They accommodated a late checkout and offered to book us a taxi to the train station the next day. When it came time for us to check out the next day, we tried to return to our room to find that our key card no longer worked (again). Then when we went down to check out, they asked us if we needed a taxi, evidently the events of yesterday promptly forgotten. For the price point, I was astoundingly disappointed.

Literally the best hotel I’ve ever stayed at! The stuff was the most friendly ever! Very helpful and always with a smile! Very accommodating as well! The rooms are new and clean! The bathrooms are like a dream! The beds are so comfortable we couldn’t get out of bed! The design of the hotel is so beautiful! Great combination of a palace with modern touches. The hotel is beautifully decorated for Christmas! The fancy restaurants and the rooftop bars are just the cherry on top of the cake! Breakfast is delicious with wonderful views! Great fresh juices and healthy selection! The meals are like pieces of art! Oh and the massage we got was completed our dream stay at this hotel! Everything was perfect! We would come again to Budapest just to stay in this place. Most cozy and comfortable stay ever! This is the real deal! This is what hotels like Ritz Carlton and Kempinski and Four Seasons should be like! Real high class and accommodating on a high level! Great job! I hope it stays like this!

On our honeymoon and it was amazing! The building itself is gorgeous and what they did with the rooms is impressive. The bathroom was my favorite part, balcony. Staff was amazing. Only thing we didn't like as much was the food for in room dining, we were expecting more from that. Besides that the place is absolutely beautiful!

Great hotel recently opened and conveniently located (in front of the bus stop) and only 5 minutes walk from Astoria, where the bus 100E from/to the airport has a stop. Our room was beautifully decorated, had a very comfortable bed and high quality details in every corner. We appreciated the Nespresso machine inside and the 24/7 gym for the guests. The breakfast buffet wasn’t big but we liked the quality of the food, especially the eggs Benedict, the different types of cheese and the roasted potatoes. They also have a very elegant rooftop bar but we didn’t have time for that cause we only had one full day which wasn’t enough to experience all the facilities that the hotel has to offer. Big thanks to Nicole who kindly provided us a very interesting and informative tour of the hotel and to the security guy who took us to the tower room for some pics!

From Check in to check out, our stay in the Matild Palace was perfect. Our room/suite was fantastic. Beautiful pictures of the hotel you can see online are not lying, in fact the reality is even better as all the mod cons or the heavenly, super high quality bedding have to be experienced in person to be fully appreciated. Our bathroom was like a work of art, I could just stare at the beauty of it. The building is beautiful, but what takes the hotel to another level is the absolutely exquisite customer service. Lili at reception was exceptional, but all staff were excellent and made us feel really special which is a credit to their training. If you wonder if the hotel is worth booking... Don't hesitate, just do it.

Best Marriott hotel I have stayed so far! I have stayed with Marriott for 100 nights so far this year, so believe me I have been to many Marriott hotels around the world. As a titanium member, they upgraded me to an absolutely amazing suite. The bathtub is just so dreamy! All the services are very good as well. I’ll recommend it to anyone traveling to Budapest.
