It would be nice to get a clear route where to start and finish. Lot's of interesting information and pieces from Hungarian battles and wars. The rooms are well organized and not overstuffed with items.

Quite nice military museum, focused mainly on wall displays. Ideal for faleristics and uniform seekers. In the court you will find some artillery pieces. Cheap tickets. i recommend it!

My 9yr old daughter and I made this our first stop while in Budapest (October 2019) It was a close walk from our hotel in Buda. My daughter had just started learning about WW2 at school, so she found it fascinating. Loved the uniforms, tank, canons, weapons and displays. Spent about 3 hours there but would have stayed longer if we had more time.

Broad view of what happened in Hungary since 1896 all the way to almost current times in terms of military stuff. Many real weapons, uniforms even cars. There are translation in English but what is the most lacking is the start and finish directions because we ended up walking up to wwI and then WW2 after that it was back in time for wwI period.

Great museum for Hungarian history. In most of the rooms there are English translations, but some are missing. You can see how the empire transformed into today’s Hungary. The modern history could have be covered with more details. I liked a lot the old Soviet tank at the museum entrance.

Exhibits are in good condition. The staff is always ready to explain exhibits in more detail. Unfortunately, a big part of the exhibition is only described in hungarian. In addition, most of the exhibition only deals with the 1st and 2nd world war. Plus, there is an unpleasant smell in part of the building.

I have come here yesterday to kiss locked doors and when I asked when museum opens, I get an answer "maybe 30th December" I have come to this castle only for this museum. I am angry.

A nice and rather large museum, also decently ventillated and not overly busy at the time of visit
