This is a place we will never go back too as its slow service, lousy food, and the bill is hand written with money amounts, with no goods purchased shown on a blank piece of note paper as he is probably a tax evader and he has the nerve to hit you up a 10% service charge for a NON SERVICE .... May 2018

Very disappointing service and behavior of staff. My dad paid for the meals which he paid and also left a tip which the waiter said thank you for when the money was counted in front of him, but after everyone left and i was the last one to leave, he asked me for another 1000 forints (which is of course not much but that's not the point) he was obviously waiting for everyone to leave before asking to be paid more in his pocket by lying saying my dad didn't pay enough money. So after being paid the right amount of money and also a tip, he tricked me out of more money. My family was very disappointed and we are never going back again...BEWARE!

One of the worst places for breakfast I've ever been to. Rude staff, small selection of meals, bad food, bad coffee, expensive, also 10% service charge gets added on top that was never mentioned before. Seemed like a trap for tourists who want to go to the (actually good) Kino Cafe right next to it.

Do not go to this restaurant. Unfriendly to tourist unfriendly service. It is impossible to get a printed receipt. They impose hefty service charge because he knows he isn't getting a tip. To top it all off they gave me bad money no longer accepted for months now in Budapest as change. Tourists beware of this place.

We’ve been here before as we are regular visitors to Bp. Wasn’t so bad in the past, but today stopped for a quick snack for late breakfast. Disgusting ‘kávé tejjel’, revolting bundás kenyér that I would be ashamed to produce in my own kitchen. Waiter unfriendly and it took 20 mins to produce a bit of fried bread and a Viennese sausage. Will never come back here again and advise all in Budapest to avoid like the plague. Maybe then they will decide to change their habits, quality and prices to bring the customers back. If not I can only assume that this is some kind of money laundering exercise and that they don’t actually care about having any customers.

The food was cold, the meat was dry, and not tasty at all. The quality of the food was really low and not even the cheap prices worthy. The staff was not polite at all and they costumers as granted. We give one star because the only good thing at the restaurant was the wine.

We popped into this little coffee while waiting for the theatre offices to open. As we walked through the door and checked out which table we can see the theatre from the waitress run out and without greeting us shouted that we can’t take the table we were standing next to as its reserved. My partner quietly pointed out that there is no reservation sign on it but no worries we will sit somewhere else as there were only 3 other people in the shop. She started arguing with him not in a quiet or acceptable manner to say the least. After this we tried to order from the menu but the waitress rudely told us they were out of every thing we tried to purchase. No sorry or other kind worlds from her only rude and harsh expressions. It was obvious our presence was bothering her - she stared at us with menace for a while and after that she disappeared somewhere for a long time making it quite difficult to pay for our water and tea. Once we managed to pay we left very quiet with our tails between our legs as we clearly committed some kind of a sin by daring to enter her coffee shop and she was on a brink of literary spitting in our faces. This was the worst experience of any kind I have ever had in this amazing country. I always try to treat other human beings with respect and I expect the same. At this establishment this was openly not option.
