The Orthodox Church is now being repaired inside and out. One of the truncated towers of the two-tower cathedral is also being renovated or rebuilt. The altar is richly decorated with icons, giving you a beautiful view, though the gilding of the ornaments has been worn. The side altars are also nice, they will get a new look.

The church itself, of course, is built in the Catholic style, sometimes it lacks that lightness, a lot of light, as in our churches, but thank God that it is here! Now the church itself is closed for restoration, so services are held in the next house, in the church canteen. But thanks to the priests Father Dmitry and Father Svyatoslav, it is as if you are transported by your soul to your own church, where you have gone from childhood, because not only the place determines the mood, but also the people who surround, conduct services, read sermons ...

Our Lady of the Assumption Cathedral is a Russian Orthodox chair church in the 5th district of Budapest. It is part of the World Heritage Danube view.
