A Franciscan Monastery existed there from the 13th - 16th centuries. The ruins are nice to see. It's nothing special but still very pretty.

An interesting bit of the island’s history in the well preserved but ruined remains of the building. Not a lot of information available in English.

So much history on such a small island. Make sure to walk to the left when you enter the island from the main entrance so you can check this out

Not worth coming here just to see these as you won't learn anything, just drop by when you visit the glorious Margaret Island

Maybe it is just me not being too deeply involved in Hungarian history, but I believe that Budapest can offer you much more with the later periods' monuments all around the city. Enjoyed the walk around the island but these ruins are not something extraordinary.

Listen the silence of 13th century's historical traces...Such a calm and nature place??
