Gorgeous and stunning view. Lovely place to spend a day or in the hotel. Up to date technology using wristbands for lockers and pay in the bars. Pay when you leave. All the pools are filled with hot (from 32 degrees Celsius) water. Absolutely recommend this place.

To come here only for this attraction is absolutely unworthy of your time, as the name suggests, it's just some salty hill and while it's interesting and so is the story behind it, you'd have to pay about 500 HUF for the parking and in my honest opinion, it's not worth that much. If you're visiting the nearby hotels or baths, you'll have to park anyway and you should consider giving it a visit.

Very good spa. Lots of space and good food at several restaurants. Nice staff. Clean facility.

The salt hill itself is smaller than I imagined. But you can already smell the thermal water from afar. Free access on one side only. Better views are available from the spa area for a fee.

Awesomeness. Spent a few days here.... never got bored and so many various pools and saunas. Very well organized and maintained. I highly recommend... at the top of our choice for spas in Hungary.

We went there as it was on the bucket list of our guide of eastern Hungary but it was really disappointing. Paid 455huf (normally 450 but the lady was supposedly « out of change ») to park in the huge parking just a few hundred meters from the hill. We walked to the hill and were utterly disappointed. The salt pools are clean on the upper side but so dirty and gross on the lower side. The view from behind the hill is very limited, you have to be a paying customer of the hotel to get a clear view. I don’t know how they extract the water but nothing seems natural anymore and they are even now (august 2020) building a second salt pool hill (you can see the foundations in concrete and they will just add a pipe to pour water on it). If you plan to visit just to take a picture, there are some free parking spaces just a few meters after the parking entrance across the road, at least you won’t pay for the disappointment!

This place took it's biblical name from Sodom, I believe. Next to it is a luxury resort. Almost like heaven and hell here on earth.

Nice to visit if you are in the area, but I would not recommend to make a bigger detour just to see it. You can walk next to and behind the salt hill, but the best (front) view is reserved for the hotel guests. There are wooden fences around of the salt hill to protect both the attraction from the visitors, and the silly visitors from getting burned.
