A felvonás 8:30 órakor kezdődik, amelyben a díszegységhez tartozó Honvéd Koronaőrség és Honvéd Palotaőrség állományából kilenc zászlófelvonó és díszőr, valamint egy kisdobos vesz részt.
A lobogót 17:30 órakor (nyári időszámítás szerint 18:30 órakor) vonják le.
Napközben 9:00 órától 17:00 óráig (nyári időszámítás szerint 18:00 óráig) a díszegységhez tartozó Honvéd Díszzászlóalj óránkénti őrségváltással katonai díszőrséget ad a téren.
