The place is not very convenient to visit, but the statue is interesting. I think Budapest was the Empress's favorite city.

Quiet garden and beautiful statue at the Buda end of the Elisabeth Bridge. It's near the famous Rudas baths.

Nice statue but it's in a very small park. The statue is of a queen who liked to give bread to the poor but was forbidden to by her family. The story is that one day she went out with loaves of bread in her skirt when a relative accosted her and asked what was in her skirt. She opened her skirt and the bread had miraculously turned into flowers.

A nice landmark and plenty of benches to chill and enjoy the hill view

To the northwest of Elizabeth Bridge is a statue of Elizabeth, Habsburg empress and Hungarian queen. Consort to Franz Joseph, 'Sissi' was much loved by the Magyars because, among other things, she learned to speak Hungarian. She was assassinated by an Italian anarchist in Geneva in 1898 with a sharpened needle file. What a brute. - lonely planet

A statue of Franz Joseph's wife, Queen Elizabeth (Sisi) who was assassinated in 1898. She is very popular in Hungary because she learned the language and was considered to be genuinely kind to people The park is very small and the area is not that interesting, but the statue is tasteful

Another queen Elizabeth, what are the chances. No, it's not that one, it's the other one.
