★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A balatonfüredi Tagero sétány egyik legnagyobb méretű szobra, a Széchenyi István szobor, melyet születésének 150. évfordulójának alkalmából ünnepségek keretek között avatták fel. Magasságát tekintve 3,5 m a talapzatával együtt. A bronztábla felirata: A 100 éves balatoni gőzhajózás emlékére 1846-1946. A balatoni gőzhajózás 125. évfordulójának emlékére készült bronztáblát is a talapzaton helyezték el, de ezt az alkotó kérésére később eltávolításra került. A talapzat hátoldalán: „Munkafáradt ember, ha a Balaton víztükrét meglátja, új életkedvet érez ereiben csörgedezni.” Gróf Széchenyi István (1846)

 One of the largest statues on the Tagero promenade in Balatonfüred is the statue of István Széchenyi, which was inaugurated on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of his birth. In terms of height, it is 3.5 m with its pedestal. Inscription on the bronze plaque: In memory of the 100th anniversary of the steamship on Lake Balaton 1846-1946. A bronze plaque commemorating the 125th anniversary of the Balaton steamship was also placed on the pedestal, but it was later removed at the request of the creator. On the back of the pedestal: "A tired person, when he sees the water mirror of Lake Balaton, feels a new zest for life." Count István Széchenyi (1846)
The creator of the sculpture is the sculptor Lajos Gáncs.
