★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A great location to look over the Pest side of Budapest, especially the Chain Bridge and Hungarian Parliament. This would be a particularly good viewpoint at night. You can't actually see the statue front very easily from the castle walls, you have to go down the hill towards the Danube to see it front on.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On the southern walls of Buda Castle a four meter high statue depicting Virgin Mary and the child. One can walk up here from the lower funicular station turning left... or right across the terrace from upper funicular station. Nice, different angle of Budapest skyline can be admired from here.
