I stayed here for 3 nights and regret booking it. I probably should have read the reviews on booking.com more carefully. Positive: The building is beautiful, wifi is stable, the owner was friendly via mail/text and the location was good. Unlike others, I had no problem finding the place, although it was hardly clear I was at the right location since there are no signs. I just went in and tried the directions given to me by the owner to get in, which, luckily for me, worked. Negative: in the description of the apartment on booking.com it said shared kitchen but it didn't specifically say that the bathroom was shared as well. Which is one of the reasons why I booked this place because I had booked a hostel at first but ended up wanting an own bathroom for more privacy and cleanliness. It didn't feel clean either; I was looking forward to a nice, relaxing bath but didn't feel comfortable at all in the bathroom. It says the walls are soundproof, something very important for me, but this is absolutely not correct. I could hear the neighbours and the noises on the street very clearly. I also shared the place with people living there 24/7 I think? I found it to be very awkward, they didn't speak English so it was unclear. It would have been nice if this had been communicated up front. The room is very big, which might be a plus but it is not really. There's a big couch which is nice but apart from that there's hardly been made use of the space. There's plenty of room to install a small bathroom, or just a toilet with a handwasher. The lock on the door to the room is not easily handled, I was afraid I was going to break the door because I had to pull/push so hard to be able to lock it. The bed is pretty tiny. I'm only 1m67 but if I stretched while lying down, my feet would touch the bottom and my hands would be all the way up against the wall. If you're 1m80 or taller, this isn't a place where you want to sleep. All in all, I wouldn't book this again and regret I didn't just stay at the hostel that I had originally booked. It would have saved me 80 euro's and the difference in privacy and noise would have been minimal. This is not really an apartment but more of a stay-with-a-local or hostel thingy. It's cheap compared to a hotel, but so is a hostel so if you're considering this, you might as well consider a hostel.
